• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

which I'm sure I've seen some tutotrials before of the ways to create or convert .mdl to to .air but with my searches I cannot find them I've looked far and wide and even our site and cannot figure out how to do it, I know you've seen this a lot and would like to put this issue to bed, so how simple is it to create an air file, I have mdl file made but how do I do the creating of .air files?

Or could you link me to where I could find a tutorial on this?

AirWrench is set up for those who want to create air files, but are beginners. You input the geometry, type of engines etc select a generic type of airplane and it will not only create the air file but will tell you what the performance is.
I do think it is a much more useable tool for you than the detailed ones listed above

Ronald,
There is an important difference between the wrench and the wiz.
With the wrench you get a tailored solution and it is good for most people.
Being contrary, hard to please and looking for "what-if" solutions I always use the wiz. This will let you tailor the solution, show the results of a test and it saves hours of testing if you want to document, for example, a 1g flight envelope.
It is the best product Jerry Beckwith has done IMHO.
So, as always, horses for courses.
Finally, either product will create a solution with the same exact performance as shown in the product. If it does not, the designer has done some clever software that affects the sim results.
