Exclamation I need help. Problem with airport not showing up!

Hello,

I am not new to FSXplanner but I haven't used it in about a year. The problem I am having is after I compile my airport (an existing airport or a new one.) to BGL I go to FSX and choose the airport. The problem is...the changes and/or new parts/ airports are not showing up. There is no change what so ever. When I create a new airport I show up at where it should be but there is no runway..or anything else! I have tried everything! Please help!

Micah

P.s. I have enabled the scenery in FSX.

Does any part of the airport show up correctly? In the list of airports in FSX your new one is at the top?

I'm having the same problem. I'm trying to create just a runway to get started (I'm new to FSXPlanner). It won't show on the list and not in the game. It does show up on the map though. I have also enabled the scenery.

Do you mean the airport shows up on the map within fsx? when you compiled the bgl did you make sure that runways should be included in the bgl?

Ya, it's on the in-game map, just there's nothing there. Ya, I just check and made sure "Write Runways" was checked when compiling, still nada.

Does it matter if the runway elevation is of by a few ft? I might not have been perfectly precise.

Yes it does matter if the runway elevation is wrong. Below the airport and it will not show. Above the airport and it might show at certain angles and heights. Runway altitudes need to match the airport altitude and the airport area must be flat at the airport altitude

Ok, I got the elevation right (checked it in-game), and this is a 500 x 50 ft runway. Airport and runway elevation are the same, but still can't find the runway, and it is still showing up on the in-game map.

how did you check it in game? not using the aircraft altimeter - that does not show the ground altitude
