Problem setting FSK KLM Paths in Win 7

Hi. I've just downloaded FSX KLM. The build tab will not allow me to change the folder paths (which have to be (x86) for win7). I get an error message of the 'error in module fsx klm' format.

UAC is off, and I've tried running the program as an administrator in XP mode. Any help would be appreciated.

Solved! A google search for 'fsx kml paths' brought up a thread on this forum which explains that the paths are in the fsx_kml.ini file in the windows directory.

Unfortunately in post Windows XP OSs FSX KML is hopelessly broken. That means that for every new project you have to manually edit the FSX KML configuration file to point it to the correct SDK and project directories.

C:\Users\YOUR_PROFILE_NAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows\FSX_KML.INI

This in addition to the new Google Earth problem make FSX KML to broken to be really usable in a productive manner. I really hope the developer would take some time to update this wonderful tool because FSX will be around for quite a while.

Not entirley true I'm afraid.

Whatever you do DO NOT play with the Virtualstore - It is like a temp location for the program to use before it writes to the main FSX_KML.INI file.

I'm using FSX_KML on a x64 Win7 Enterprise machione and it works perfectly well.

The only problem is the new file format that Google eath uses which I have written a little program to fix the KML file.

Its not a big deal really and doesn't require you to edit anything by hand.

FSX_KML. INI Pass setup attention

FSX_KML. INI Pass setup attention

C : \Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Terrain SDK

Well, it is not here.

C : \Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Terrain SDK

It is the proper way of writing it.
Program Files (x86) The half space is necessary behind Program Files.

Hi, I was just trying to get this program to work and had a similar experience with setting the folder locations.

How can I fix this, it is not clear to me by this discussion? Do I locate the INI file and edit it manually for locations?

And, what is this little program to fix the KML file? Without it does this mean I am wasting my time trying to use this program?
