It's been around for several years now. I got a chance to "fly" in one of them at Oshosh Air Venture last year. It's neat, but at ~$60,000+ just a bit on the expensive side for me!

I met with the owners several years ago at an ESP Developer's Conference in Orlando, Florida.

Actually, I suspect they will be switching to Prepar3D in the not too distant future, if they haven't already.

Especially since I finally fixed the multi-mon full-screen loaded-flight window placement bugs :->

The 60 grand version is with the motion platform thought right, I mean, you can get the open top stationary version for just 25 to 30 grand :->

They are certainly working with Prepar3D.

Are you sure they are working with Prepare 3d?

Could I install an scenery made with the FSX SDK on an ESP or Prepare3D Platform?

Regards.

You could do that irrespective of the base platform used.
At the moment, FSX ~= ESP ~= Prepar3D

The main issues you are going to have is that the scenery addons installer likely won't recognize an installed Prepar3d sim, so won't know to install into it (if it has a browse for folder sort of option, that might work). The other issue is if the scenery is licensed for commercial use.

But, if you can get the scenery into Prepar3d, then it should work just fine :->

Tim, just as a matter of habit now, I configure my installers to work with FSX, ESP or Prepar3D. The user selects which and the installer will check the Registry for the correct path information...

...if all else fails, there's always the "Browse" button...

i know for a fact they dont use Prepare3d or ESP for that matter
what they are using is FSX on both units which by the way is not what they told us when we bought the things

Holy imaginary anger Batman!

FSX~ESP~Prepar3D as far as feature/functionality is concerned*. If they have FSX on the machine, I'm willing to bet there's a 100% valid reason for that. In fact, based on Beatle's post in this thread above:

I'm willing to bet that most definitely might have something to do with it.

*until new features were added to Prepar3D by L/M.

(cough) probably well outside the FSX conditions of use (y'know that box that flashes up when you install stuff!)

Unless, of course, it's by agreement... which no one here can say one way or the other and thus should probably not make claims otherwise.

This is an admin note to remind y'all that it is generally not good to engage in speculation. Also if you believe a particular supplier has not met the 'fit for purpose' or other standard then the most appropriate way is to take it up with the supplier
