Exclamation Problem with Scenery on Airport

Hello,

I made my own airport. It is located in Utrecht - The Netherlands. The problem is that if I go to my airport in FSX than there are a lot of scenery objects on the runways, taxiways, aprons, etc... I don`t want that ofcourse so if someone please could help that will be awesome.

What tool did you use to make it?

Did you start from a stock airport or from scratch?

I used Airport Design Editor to make it.

And I made a new airport so it wasn`t a default airport.

You problem is that you are not excluding the stock airport. To be honest it would be much easier to start from stock. However in your airport in ADE go to Tools > Load Stock Data. You need to load at least the Scenery Objects and probably Navaids and Waypoints. You will need to experiment.

Next where did you save your new Bgl File? -that is what folder in FSX?

Thanks, I am going to check if that works.

I saved the bgl in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\0601\scenery, beacause Amsterdam Airport is also in that folder.

You need to place it in a scenery area above X\Scenery\0601\scenery in the scenery library.

I opened a stock airport, loaded the stock data scenery objects and I have still the buildings and trees on my aprons, runway and taxiways.

Put your Bgl file in Addon Scenery\scenery. You need your airport file to be loaded after the stock file - at the moment it may be loading first.

But make the exclude polygons first, always will be objects building or vegetation that you wan't see there, so create exclude polygons over those areas. If you not have a specific folder for that scenery, you always can put the bgl in addon scenery/scenery.

I placed it in Addon Scenery but it doesn`t help. I think it is Default Scenery so how can you delete auto generated scenery?

I think this is going to get very complicated. The problem is that the OP developed a new airport without reference to the stock airport. There will be problems first with the airport background as you suggest and second with the scenery objects.

I think the primary reason the old airport is showing through is that the new Bgl file is loading before the stock file. It needs to load after to exclude the taxiways and so on.

If the OP does not want to start again from the stock airport then there are three things to sort out:

First excluding the stock runways, taxiways and so on. This should occur if the user Bgl file loads after the stock file. The most likely way to do this is by putting the user Bgl file in Addon Scenery\scenery. So I suggest doing this first so we can establish if we can exclude stock airport facilities (this will not deal with buildings but I want to know that there are no duplicated taxiways etc)

Second are the stock objects and generic buildings. These will only be removed by the user Bgl file if an exclusion rectangle exists for them. If the OP wants to use some or all of the stock buildings then the best way is to load the stock data. This will result in the stock object still appearing but by selecting and deleting those not needed they will be removed in the updated scenery. The alternative if the user does not want any stock objects is to use an exclusion rectangle in the new airport file. This is a crude and risky tool since it will also likely remove taxi signs and jetways that may be wanted. So the best way as far as I can tell is to load the stock data as described and then delete any in ADE that are not wanted. They will then be gone in the updated airport in FSX.

Finally we have terrain issues. If the OP created airport is not at the same altitude as the stock airport then we have the opportunity for a whole range of new errors. If it is displaced or has elements outside the stock airport boundary then these will probably be covered in vegitation or autogen buildings. So in that case a new airport background will be needed. The old one may need excluding and a new one creating. This is an airport background polygon.

If this all sounds a nightmare then it may well be and my original point about starting from stock may be less trouble in the end.

How can I create a exclude polygon? I am new with airport designs so I don`t know much about it.

Then I really do suggest that you consider starting with the stock airport - how much new did you add or change?

I start editing the airport EHHV. I deleted all the runways and everything and I placed a new runway. I loaded also the stock data, but now I have still the same problem. There is only at that airport a place where are no scenery objects, but that is really small.

Please zip up and attach the ADE project file (.ad2 extension) to a post here so that we can look at it.

If you have been loading and saving your project from a Bgl file then you should not. Load your airport. Use Fils > Save Airport to save the project file. Now find this where you saved it, zip it, and attach it to a post here.

Yes a good hint, always will be better work from an ad2 file, to prevent problems. make a folder specifically intended for those ad2 files.just that.
A good way to solve this problems is reading some issue related tutorials and some tons of threads about the matter. nothing magic
