Debugging tools for XML mission files.
I am guessing that all of us developing missions runs into this from time to time. We develop a mission and it runs fine and then we make a perfectly good edit and it doesn't run. Since I am new a this I have not been saving after each edit. I have found I have to rebuild from scratch.
It would be nice to have an XML debugger that could catch whatever small errors creep into the files. Is there something out there that is usable and would save us some time debugging minor errors ? Regards Jib01/02

Take a look at this.
It's not a great debugging tool, but it gives you the GUID that causes the error. Most of the time you'll be able to find the error rather easy, anyway. Either you included one of the corrupt scenery-objects (yes, there are several! try the 4-blade-prop!) or you forgot to assign an action to a trigger or something like that. Sometimes, if you delete an action that is linked to another action the mission system failes to delete that link. For me, those are the most common errors. I know them pretty well right now, so if I get an error I mostly think "Oh, yes, I remember: forgot the action for the trigger!".
