Today, I complete MiG-15Bis and MiG-15UTI update to Ver1.4.0.
These version packages have compatibility on MSFS2020 and 2024, A single aircraft model working on both of then.
Here is complete feature list for theses aircrafts

These update packages have sent to Just Flight for release process.
Then, I will update on Sim market and Ini-builder website in the next week.
The MSFS build-in Marketplace packages (model has none weapon payload shape) had sent out for process, MS Market may take more time for process update release.

All of them update no charge for pilots who already buy MiG-15Bis or MiG-15UTI Ver1.3.9.
New customers may buy Ver1.4.0 update versions directly from any publisher when they get update live.

Features for Change:


1, Refine interior and exterior models define file, add model side interactive elements for new custom Electrical Flight Bag shapes, which replace Integrated Kneeboard Panel on Ver1.3.9.

2, Electrical Flight Bag system, based on Garmin G3X/G3X Touch navigation equipment (refer to stock AS3X/AS3X Touch instruments); Add aircraft configuration, build-in checklist pages for basic flight and system status monitor; Add custom Radio Frequency Management expand pages for totally functional on radio setting with retro 1950`s radio communication and navigation system.

Support COM1 radio communication channel, 4 navigation channels for ADF1/2, NAV1/2; with audio setting and transponder control.

Bug Fixing:

In the other case, force pilot using differential wheel brake to steer aircraft when rolling control manually, to meet historical realism on MiG-15Bis.

3, Fix auto trim pitch control system takes act too aggressing problem. Limit condition for it take affect only when level flight, less vertical speed than 1 meter/sec, under altitude 21000 feet and TAS over 250 knots. Refine callback code for adjust pitch trimmer manually.

4, Fix rotate animation problem on:

Frequency adjust handle (K-7 ADF control box);

Band selector knob (RSI-6M remote control panel);

Band indicator (RSI-6M radio transmitter box);

Heading selector knob (DGMK gyro heading indicator);

5, Lower mount position for EFB; adjust back light for all electrical display/indicator for easy reading.

Thanks for updating the packages. I haven't looked at the "bis" yet but for the UTI version (in 2020), is there a way to make the nosewheel castering? I am noticing that if turning using rudder only (without brakes), the aircraft and nosewheel stays straight. If differential brakes are applied, I can force the aircraft to turn, but the nosewheel remains straight and looks like it's skidding on the ground. Is there a .cfg setting I can use to enable a proper nosewheel animation when the aircraft is turning on the ground?

The MiG-15 has no nose wheel steering system, the only way for pilot steering aircraft, is differential braking main wheel for demand side power up for aircraft moving, and aircraft slow turning to that direction.
You may get serval times to break/release/power up/down for a large radius turn. so this aircraft has very poor moving features on ground.
PLAAF Test pilot Geneal Ge Wen Yong, descripting this feature in his book (<My Jurany of Flight>, publish public in China, is this has English name edition?) when he flies defect ROCAF F-86 and vs their own MiG-15/17 in 1960s, because F-86 has nose steering make it turning control very easy than MiGs.

In MSFS, the preflight animation controlled by AI, it only using nose steering, so I set a limit fake nose steering define in model for it only, when pilot admin flight, the fake steering is Off.

Thank you for the clarity. So, to be clear, the nosewheel does not pivot at all no matter what when on the ground? In the real aircraft, it is fixed in a a straight position and skids or drags sideways when turning on a taxiway? It seems like nosewheels would wear down excessively? Understood that it doesn't have power nosewheel steering, but the nosewheel does not caster to some angle when using differential?
 
On real aircraft, when differential brake engaged one side, the aircraft turn to it`s direction, the nose wheel will be forced to steering.
It not controlled by rudder pedal, as you point out, it no power to steering.

In current MSFS20-24 model define, I have not find out how to get nose wheel control disconnect from rudder.
if it has animation, when aircraft rudder pedal pressed, nose wheel will act animating. consider to keep MiG no power on nose wheel steering,I remove animation define now.
when find out the method to simulate that feature totally, I will update it.

1, Using MSFS default payload and balance pop-up UI to set payload
2, Refer from PLAAF 1974`s MiG-15UTI variants manual, Idle rpm on ground after startup will be 6000-7000. depend on fuel and airport height conditions
 
Hey just testing su16 beta Msfs2020 on xbox x and it seems the trim system in UTI got broken, pitch trim is constantly dropping to - 35, roll trim is not responding at all. Or maybe Im missing something in plane setup? 🤔 There is no visible movent of the trim knobs.

I am test too, but -35 be a strange issue, I can see the pitch trim drop to -100 and frozen.

it seems the auto trim not working on it, I am preparing a new control logic for it in a upcoming update v1.5 on the end of June.
Roll trim can working by my thrust-master war-hog controller, it may be same reason for not working, if it can be solved I will put in the update

For a temporary debug, if you can edit the MiG15_Logic.xml in panel/MiG folder, delete the whole auto trim section for current version, and trim manually when aircraft above 250 knots TAS.

Another things may changed in the upcoming update:
1, I study out how to make the nose wheel steering forced by differential brakes/rudder control in different conditions, or controlled by stock in-game animation stage before flight.

2, AI controlled taxing steering and push back trill steering also may be re-coding for this steering system.
in MSFS 2020 it working well, but in current 2024, on some airfield may leading to wrong taxi route( e.g. KSEA) but some working well, this is strange issue, I am working for it.

If it solved, this feature will in update too.

2, The engine idle rpm correct to almost 6000 and max not excess 11500

All these will be include in update

It applies a basic method for keep aircraft hold altitude/attitude when level flight. Above 250Knots TAS, auto trim pitch down to against nose pitch up increase depend on airspeed increasing.
When aircraft below 250 Knots, or above 28000 feet, or any flight stick control input (Pitch, Roll/Bank), or aircraft configuration changes (Airbrake, Gear, Flaps extended), the auto trim will be override temporary.
If you want to trim elevator pitch totally by manual, just press open 37 mm gun trigger(for Bis) or AFA Camera trigger(for UTI) safe cover mount on flight stick. then, the auto trim will not working.

Tips for differential brakes and nose wheel steering
For working with in-game preflight animation generated by game engine, aircraft must have nose wheel steering defines. but MiG-15 to MiG-19 aircraft nose wheel just positive steering (no triller power on nose wheel, it just slaved by aircraft heading changes) by main wheel brakes
So, using differential brakes to control aircraft heading below GS 86 Knots , and rudder above this speed. the nose wheel will make positive steering animation during aircraft heading changing on ground.
(above 0 knots, aircraft must moving forward first, then, brake or rudder for steering)

Btw talking about UTI - aux tanks, pilots w&b system... May you consider to setup it in a way of cowans for example (msfs20). They just add each equipment with separate weight into w&b menu. It really makes life easier. Tx for consideration.

The payload station weight on MiG-15 is for control defference shapes visible or hidden, like P3D or FSX old style,
I will study how to make reference tag like the pic you attached. if it OK, will include in next update.

Current I have a bug which will cause FPS drops in MiG-15Bis VC when GPS/EFB display bring up.
This bug in V1.5, reported by customer ABF81 (many thanks for report that bug on High-end 4K hardware system, I have no such level hardware for test, just 10400F+rtx2060s@1080P)
It may take simular problem on UTI V1.5 too.
After test on a rented PC with intel 13900+ RTX3060ti, I have find out the reason for that and solve it in next update, which will ready for release after MSFS24 SU3 online and test OK.

Luckily I play on xbox x fs2020 in 1440p so maybe Im free of this bug hopefully. 🤔🤞

Ok, the Update V1.5.1 packages today upload to sim market and just flight
The main task of this update is fix the FPS drop to half problem, when bring up GPS/EFB display show up in MiG-15Bis VC.
And the related gauges on UTI also need update.

V1.5.1 Update Features:
MiG-15Bis:
Modify GSP/EFB page coding to fix the fps drop problem

Mig-15Uti:
Modify Frequency Plane dimmer control by complex control to simulate day/night light changes

Common:
Recoding Gunsight, IFF code, Radio Frequency displays to fix the fps drop problem
 
For MSFS2024 SU3 changed it`s local variable computing system, so I test and find out compatible problems with it now, and the V1.5.2 ready to release for deal with those problem follow it.
As usual, Just Flight and simmarket may teke first, then, wait MS marketplace accept.

I plan to get v1.5.2 online in next week

1,All feathers for V1.5.1

2, To deal with new compatible problem from MSFS2024 SU3, MiG-15Bis/Uti change model behavior and functional simulating in core computing logic. these changes also working as same way on MSFS2020
a, Re-coding RSI-6M and RSIU-3M radio stations to avoid switch frequency store bands inop problem.
b, Re-coding Canopy and Eject seats control logics to avoid continuous jettison animation when reset in yaw mode.
c, Re-shaping gunsight display to get more visibility in daylight, and lower maximum brightness to reasonable lever during night, dust and dawn.
d, Re-coding Landing/Taxi lights, Head light effect and control system, to avoid such lights can not meet aircraft variant model change problem.
e, Change sound effect define to avoid control logic mistake on Eject seat system.
f, Change system and flight model cfg to get more model shape control logic compatible with MSFS2024 SU3

3, For MSFS2024 SU3, because simulating computing for handle local variable changes by Asobo, we suggest set payload station 1(For Bis Model), or 1/6(For UTI model) to 190, for get MSFS default military pilot shapes visible to replace MiG pilot shape. This method avoid both type of pilot shapes visible when in game abort menu and free cam controls on.

4, We will follow the MSFS system update changes, if possible, we will keep aircraft mod have same behavior or compatible with future updates.
