• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    Two issues...

Hi All... I've got a couple of issues plaguing me, thought someone here might be able to point me in the right direction. [1] Steerable nose gear. I'm doing a project in FSDS 3.0 (18-wheel log truck) that requires truning wheels and steerable front wheels. I managed to "borrow" some...

    Cars for FS9...

RE: Cars... Thanks, Meshman... Nope, I wasn't aware that Lars Hoyer was the original designer...probably was in the README and I missed it. I only meant it for reference anyway, though. But whoever it was, they did an excellent job on them...just too new for our application. As for...

    Cars for FS9...

RE: Cars Hey, Felix.... Listen, friend to friend, I think you should just come right out and say what's really on your mind; holding yourself back like this could cause serious emotional problems down the road. :D Okay, kidding aside, I've heard that from several FSDS folks, one of...

    Cars for FS9...

Hello all: I've been using FSDS (3.0) to create a ton of new scenery for a "retro" VA. Now it's time for vintage cars, and I've hit the big wall. According to what I'm told, it's possible to do cars in FSDS, but difficult, clumsy, and the result is usually somewhat of a compromise...

    Smoke...

    Smoke...

Hello All: Been a while since I've stuck my nose in here...using FSDS 3.0 these days and having a blast! I'm gussing many of you gents have probably moved on to FSX. Not me; LewisAire is gonna stick with FS9. Question regarding "smoke": Is it done in FSDS? If so, could anyone kinda...

    A few more questions (FSDS-3.0)

RE:Felix Hello Felix...thanks once again. Okay, I'm so new at this that I don't know what's good or bad to start with, so here's what I did just for an example; maybe you'd be kind enough to give it a quick evaluation. I created a 36x24 dwelling (2 boxes, one atop the other; I brought...

    A few more questions (FSDS-3.0)

Hello again: A few more beginner questions... 1. As a rule of thumb: Say a 24x40 building (with roof, porch, steps, windows, doors, blah-blah)...Is there a general polygon-count one should try to maintain, or try to stay under? 2. With regards to how objects affect frame rates in F/S...

    A few questions (FSDS 3.0)

RE: Arno Hi Arno: I tried several times to reply to Felix last night...every way possible...logged in again and again (which worked fine, I was logged in okay), and it stopped me every time, saying I wasn't logged in or I wasn't authorized. An it also said I wasn't authorized to create a new...

    A few questions (FSDS 3.0)

Hello all: I hope you all don't cringe too badly when a newbie strolls in, because I surely am one of those! Anyway...just got FSDS 3.0 two days ago, and I'm having a blast with it. A friend is showing me the basics, but I have a few other questions, and thought I'd toss them out here. And...
