• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Excluding rain/snow from open hangar interior

I will try, thanks! Is not a single occluder enough?

MSFS20 Excluding rain/snow from open hangar interior

Yes. I don't know if that can be fixed. I have marked the hangars with "no snow" in sdk too. Yes, thanks, I will work on that. I did in that way looking at the reference image which shows a very bright hangar and lights

I took the real one as inspiration, and then found the closest free good texture available...I will try to improve it Thanks!

MSFS20 Excluding rain/snow from open hangar interior

Ok, so... It looks gorgeous now. Occluder works...but it is the first time I try with my plane and for it it still rains inside. Can this be avoided or occluder works only for the mesh and not for separate objects inside it?

MSFS20 Excluding rain/snow from open hangar interior

I think in real life it would look like that, with planes and people going out and in, I was just asking ;) I think that could work, thanks

MSFS20 Excluding rain/snow from open hangar interior

Hello, can you confirm this works to exclude rain drops, but the inside will be still wet? Because that it what happens with my models, as you can clearly see, on the right it rains, on the inside not, but is damp

    Spot light shines through geometry

Thanks, I will try! I will add perhaps a light to illuminate the roof on the inside and look more realistic

    Spot light shines through geometry

I have encountered the same problem. This is my hangar, as you can see the lights (point) pass through the roof  So I searched the forum and found this topic... I will try with SDK lights then!

Exporting to MSFS 2020: is one single mesh better than a certain number of objects?

This. Sorry if I didn't specified better, I though writing "I'm talking about 40-50 objects for single model exported" was enough. English is not my language :) Thanks for your answer and your time

Exporting to MSFS 2020: is one single mesh better than a certain number of objects?

Thanks for the discussion. I point out that I was referring to scenery models

Exporting to MSFS 2020: is one single mesh better than a certain number of objects?

Hello. When I do models for MSFS2020 in Blender I usually join all the objects in one single mesh before exporting, except the lights. I wonder if this is useless or not, regarding performance issues, etc., since I will save a lot of time if I can just select all the single models and export...
