• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS24 2020 Plane boots up into 2024 with no fuel, no way to refuel.

Hi Bill, You might need to change to the Modern MSFS 2020/2024 Fuel System. https://docs.flightsimulator.com/html/Content_Configuration/SimObjects/Aircraft_SimO/flight_model/fuel_system.htm?rhhlterm=modern%20fuel%20system%20systems&rhsearch=Modern%20fuel%20system Best regards, Tyler

    MSFS20 Modelling single-spool turbojets

I haven't found a manual for the Bristol 188, but I have pieced together information for this aircraft from may articles and books and have also manged to track down a manual for the Gyron Junior engine that states 100% engine speed to be 9200 RPM. Although a single spool engine, I found during...

    MSFS20 Pilot figures

Issue resolved. Missing pilot was due to pilot station load in flight_model cfg file being 0 instead of 1. station_load.0 =200, 29, 0, 0.9, Pilot, 1 https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/questions/10087/pilot-1-visibilty-failure.html

    MSFS20 Pilot figures

I had a pilot visible using the LOD method, but it is no longer visible. Pilot is visible in Project Editor, but not visible in the exported aircraft. Any ideas what would make the pilot figure disappear?

    MSFS20 Small Cockpits in VR

I recently purchased a VR headset and tried the aircraft that I'm working on in MSFS and it all looks good, but the cockpit seems a little small. I have tried a few other aircraft and some appear small and others feel to be the correct size. Is there a setting for the cockpit size in VR or a...

MSFS20 MSFS Aileron Control Reversal below 10,000 ft and above Mach 1.3. - SOLVED

Thanks. My research was for the Bristol 188 and no aileron control reversal was reported by the test pilots during the 70 test flights and hence I did not want this unreported characteristic within the flight model of my aircraft model in MSFS. For anyone that is interested, aileron control...

MSFS20 MSFS Aileron Control Reversal below 10,000 ft and above Mach 1.3. - SOLVED

The Bristol 188 was a supersonic research aircraft made from stainless steel, so the ailerons should have been fairly rigid. During my research I haven't come across anything that reported any observed control reversal. I will have a look at the flight_model.cfg file and experiment with some...

MSFS20 MSFS Aileron Control Reversal below 10,000 ft and above Mach 1.3. - SOLVED

Hi, I seem to be experiencing aileron control reversal with my model when below 10,000 ft and above Mach 1.3. Above 10,000 ft and between Mach 1.0 to Mach 2.0, aileron control sense is correct. Below 10,000 ft and below Mach 1.3, aileron control is also operating in the correct sense. Anyone...

I think a screenshot would help.

    unwrap fuselage

You might need to add more seams as there may still be some vertices that are joined and preventing the mesh from unwrapping.

MSFS20 Help needed for Reheat/Afterburner visuals with Blender and MSFS please.

Hi All, I have reheat/afterburner thrust working on my MSFS fight model, but I am struggling with the visual effects. Should I be using MSFS FX only, mesh and textures in Blender or a combination of both? At the moment I have animated nozzles and a very solid looking ‘reheat’ mesh orange cone...
