• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Lights during day, but not night?

Thanks, I'll look into it. IF it's only emissive textures, that's not what I'm attempting to do. I need an actual light, as in the anti-collision lights on a tower. I've done several at my airport, but not sure if I can do daylight lights only. TB2

MSFS20 Lights during day, but not night?

I know there is a way to select "day/night" cycle for lighting which would enable the lights at night, but not during the day, but is there a way to have the lights come on ONLY during the day? I'm attempting to make a rotating beacon for a tractor pulling a "bush hog" (rotary cutter) mowing...

Object window, how to get thumbnails?

Forgot to mention I'm in MSFS 2020. There is no "Model Thumbnail Baker" under "Tools" or anywhere else in the project manager that I can find. TB2

Object window, how to get thumbnails?

In the Project Editor Object window there is an option for "Thumbnails". How do we get images into the thumbnail selection? Thanks, TB2

    taxiway signs detail map

I simply went into the main office (KOCF) and asked! They gave me excellent detailed (architectural?) maps that had exquisite details!

MSFS 2020/2024 panel.cfg question concerning colors of registration number on aircraft

Figured it out! In the panel.cfg for both the wing and the "airframe", if you set the "size_mm" to 1,1 it totally removes the registration numbers AND does not show that stupid white rectangle in the background!

MSFS 2020/2024 panel.cfg question concerning colors of registration number on aircraft

I'm tinkering with the "panel.cfg" file, modifying how the registration number appears on the aircraft. I know I can change colors, and how to change colors, font.... Is there a way to make the registration number invisible? My livery has the registration number is in the texture. MSFS...

    Create runway on upslope?

Thanks for the info, but shouldn’t be any AI at this airstrip. 😉 TB2

    Create runway on upslope?

I wondered if I could use that. Didn’t seem to be doing anything. I’ll try it shortly. Thanks! TB2

    Create runway on upslope?

Is there a way to create a runway that is sloping up/down? I'm "correcting" some runways that are on mountain sides and needs to conform with the terrain, even if it is on a slope. Any runway I create is always flat and level. Is there a way to do this? TB2

    MSFS24 MSFS 2024 LODs

I'm getting ready to look into it. I don't know what you mean by "there are testers for that", but what I do is launch project editor (with my project of course), Debug LOD's, filter out just the name of my model(s), "shrink" down the "Scenery Editor" window to remove all of the clutter , move...

    MSFS24 MSFS 2024 LODs

Great! (sarcastically). That means I have to go back and test everything again. LOL!!! But, if we want good products we do what we can. TB2

MSFS20 Is there a way to get an object to look the same if it's day or night?

Oops. Though it was in the banner. (I’ll fix it). It’s referring to MSFS 2020 and 2024. TB2
