• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 Gmax Source for 30+ Aircraft 2019-12-09

NOTICE: By downloading these files you are hereby acknowledging agreement to properly credit the original designer(s) for their efforts should you release any reworks and/or paint-ups of these files.
In addition, you agree not to sell, package for sale, and/or distribute these files, or alterations thereof, for profit. These source files may NOT be uploaded to any other web site without the permission of the author(s). Use these files at your own risk.
The Makemdl.xml entries required for the FS2004 gmax aircraft is also included.

From Milton Shupe,

I grant permissions for my gmax source to be used to enhance any simulation and I am happy to make a contribution as long as the following caveats are understood and adhered to:

You may use the gmax source for reference, for parts, or you may improve on these models and release them as freeware as long as:

1) There is free access to the freeware (i.e. no membership fees required to get to it).
2) You must mention in credits that the original source copyright belongs to Milton Shupe and that I give permission for its use, modifications, and redistribution. (This hopefully keeps hundreds of people from writing to alert me. :).
3) The original source may not be redistributed.

If you choose to re-release the model with your modifications, you may NOT use any other part of the originally released MSFS model package or panels, gauges, sounds, textures, or flight model (.air file and aircraft.cfg). These items are copyrighted by other individuals, not me.

That means that after your mods, you must remap for textures, provide your own gauges, textures, sounds and flight model.

Thank you Milton, for your generosity! Not only are these models useful for future works, but I find them excellent learning tools - to see how the "masters" have created details in their models.
Dear "uncle" Milton, thank you for sharing your hard work. Cheers!

You are welcome Antaris. I hope that some of it can be helpful for others who are learning, or as inventory of parts, or to improve overall and re-release as more modern versions.
