• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    Hi, I had a look today, but could not find an easy way with the CIR image to get good trees. In the filter I used for another project I use all 4 bands (RGB and NIR) and that works quite well. I'll see if that filter works reasonable on your image as well. I can merge the two into a 4 band image.

    Hi, Small addition, I saw the basic texture filter from the manual also detects all the crops. I think that's the reason it's so slow. The filter needs to be extended to catch trees, but not crops. I never tested an area with so much crops. Let me see if I can tune the filter a bit.

    Hi, I had a look at the file, I am not 100% done yet, but some first observations. You are using CreateAGNRectVeg to make vegetation autogen from any polygon.     Hi, I just tried with the stable release 1.5 and it is working fine. The model loads and after that exporting starts and MCX will close when it is done. Looking at your screenshot it is still working on loading the OpenFlight model.

    The samples in the manual should work best. You can set a scaling there, so no need to buffer the features. You want to subtract the buildings from the vegetation polygons. That way the vegetation is removed that is close to buildings. If I have some time in the coming days I'll see if I can...

    It's easier to do it in scenproc, just use the boolean step to subtract the buildings from the vegetation. Looking at your script you are now doing the reverse (subtract vegetation from buildings). The filter features step removes an entire feature, that does noy apply here.

    Hi, Here is a new build. It has the sorting added as option, see the documentation. With -sortMode NORTH_SOUTH or -sortMode WEST_EAST you can specify the order you want (without this argument it will use the order from the input file like before).

    Hi, Did you try to put the fbx file and textures in the same folder? MCX uses the FS search logic to look for textures, but Blender will not. In the FBX file there is only a filename, no path, just like in the MDL files.

    I just made one sample of roughly 1000 x 1000 pixels to show how the filter works with the CIR image. I did not run it over the entire image, but I'm sure it will work.

    MSFS How to export a (self-made) object bgl-file from FSX to MSDF?

    If you set that option to true, MCX will automatically compile the package for you after saving. Else you need to do it manually from inside MSFS. It just depends on what your workflow is.
