• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v5 Photosceneries and Autogen Packages for the world

Matthias, when will Italy AG be available? I'm currently using the Italy Photoreal photolayer and autogen, but i'm sure yours will surpass it. Oh, what photo layer you suggest using? :coffee: :coffee:

P3D v5 Photosceneries and Autogen Packages for the world

Mine is 282714 tiles. Have you merged them and how? You have all tiles in one folder (my starting point was MSE Germany in three parts so i could not have used states according to their boundaries), so they're not overlapping each other at places where boundaries meet? I did it the way i...

P3D v5 Photosceneries and Autogen Packages for the world

Ok, today i had the time to test it and it's fine, it took only couple of hours to create "merged folder" with 4400 agn files, had to repeat the copying of duplicate files (AllDup does it much better than DupeGuru) and do the merging from scratch. After having the duplicate files with their...

P3D v5 Photosceneries and Autogen Packages for the world

Matthias, that's what i came up with, it's not in accordance with the ScenProc manual, chapter 7.3 Using Autogen Merge tool, but i guess it'll be fine. The example is very basic, but when dealing with multiple 100k tiles, it reduces the amount of work by a lot. I'll try it (with a little help of...

P3D v5 Photosceneries and Autogen Packages for the world

Matthias, never thought of this even though i read the ScenProc manual thoroughly. I'll approach the problem somehow differently. First, i'll mark all duplicates and copy them into another texture folder with their respective paths...

P3D v5 Photosceneries and Autogen Packages for the world

Well, there's also the fourth variant, arranging the bgl files into regions (Bayern, Baden Wuertenberg, ....) and pasting appropriate texture folder for that region in each of the created folders. But who can tell where is the place for the (for example) Germany_Aerial1_AM_33.bgl file (one of...

P3D v5 Photosceneries and Autogen Packages for the world

Matthias, a question that's been asked before in the original Germany photoreal thread but i haven't recognized any real answer in all of the posts there. I have a 3 part Megascenery Deutschland (S, C and N) and what i can do is to join all three scenery folders in one Gemany complete\scenery...

P3D v5 Photosceneries and Autogen Packages for the world

Oh well, just bought  the complete MegaScenery Germany, will have to uninstall that too (as i did Orbx GN & GS) if AG won't fit. Thanks again :coffee:.

P3D v4 Autogen Packages for different countries

When we're talking Germany and TE, there's a 3 part Megascenery Germany. I guess i'll wait for the sale (50% off) and try it. Will it be of any problem that your German autogen is divided into (many) regions, while MSE has only 3 parts? I guess i read somewhere, that there might be some...

P3D v4 Autogen Packages for different countries

Totally aware of that, but let's wait for msfs to prove me right/wrong. Even without TE Germany, i've got so many places to visit in P3d, that i'll never experience even half of it.

P3D v4 Autogen Packages for different countries

Ok, i'll wait for Orbx TE GES/GEN then :scratchch

P3D v4 Autogen Packages for different countries

Matthias, thanks for your amazing autogen which really lifts Swiss and Austrian payware sceneries to a new level. Just flown my mom along the valleys around Leoben where she spent her childhood holidays some 70 years ago and it made a difference. Have flown her the same flight with the original...
