• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX Making a landable mountain using ADE for FSX

This looks stunning, Gary. Just trying to digest this thread because a mountain is exactly the thing that I never succeed in doing. Is that now a converted elevation map or a model?

    P3Dv5.4: Helicopters & ADE

Hi Walter. Personally, I make a heli overlay airport to have a helicopter starting and landing from its spot. This means adding a new airport on top of the main one, with a very short runway on top of the parking spot. Helicopters have the same flight model like fixed wings, so they start and...

AI Aircraft Editor Version 4.2.1 released

It is extremely unpleasant for me, but I must ask you to download the installer again, hopefully for the last time. I am very sorry about this! The AIAE self-updater needs three more DLLs, but only if an update is actually available. I only noticed this today when I activated version 4.2.8...

AIA AIRCRAFT EDITOR doesnt work with aircraft-cfg of MSFS

Version 4.2.21 has an option in the settings menu: "Strict FS9/FSX/P3D Mode". If you disable this option, you should be able to use AIAE on MSFS aircraft like before. Does this work for you?

AIA AIRCRAFT EDITOR doesnt work with aircraft-cfg of MSFS

Thanks for letting me know. I never thought that AIAE could be used for MSFS. The reason it stopped working is that I recently added the check for an .air file to the recognition of an aircraft folder. Let me consider how to make this workable for MSFS again. Send from mobile hence short

AI Aircraft Editor Version 4.2.1 released

Important Note to all users of a Windows Version below Windows 10. I have been using a function call that is only supported as of Windows 10. In consequence AIAE is crashing before the interface is loaded on earlier versions. Please update to Version 4.2.2 if this affects you. You must...

    Experiences with FS2004 aircraft import/export

Arno is touching various parts in MCX that interact with each other, therefore it can very well be that things which worked in the last stable version shows an issue today. When this exercise is over, the whole application will be on anther level. Send from mobile hence short

    Experiences with FS2004 aircraft import/export

Good thing we are not on a race :) If all this is fixed and working, MCX is so much improved, that it makes all waiting time worthwhile.

    Experiences with FS2004 aircraft import/export

The thread have been mixed a bit by now.this one here was from the beginning concentrating on AI FS9 to FSX conversion. The other thread by to was concentrating on few models and converted those back and forth in all directions. Arno will make sure to have all this under control ;-) Send...
