    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    AIFP Error

As it happens I installed MSFS last night, purely by coincidence. When you install it it goes to that path by default, and installs the initial package of about 1.6GB. However, when you play it for the first time you get some options menu up which includes an option to specify where you want it...

    FSX AIFP leg sequencing

    No problem.

    FS2004 YSSY Error

Tom, it sounds like your StockAirportList_FS9.dat file is not being found, at the very least. Have you tried regenerating the FS9 list, and the addons list, through the Collect Airport Data?

    FSX AIFP leg sequencing

Apologies if i read this wrong but I think it is quite simple. The issue starts with leg 6. If you notice that it is a day 2, which goes into day 3 (01:58+1). Therefore leg 7 you have to alter the Tuesday to Wednesday and it should sort fine. Does this solve the issue?

    AIFP Error

Apologies for butting here, Don. The thing that caught my attention was that your path has your MS userid as 'USER PC'. Is this really correct? It should be the same as the abbreviation for your MS account. This would the folder in your C:\Users folder where all your system files and OneDrive...

FSX:SE AI Flight Planner doesn't work with FSX Steam Edition

You may be right, Don. All I can say is that my config entries work and I don't recall adding those settings manually. I shall let you diagnose.

FSX:SE AI Flight Planner doesn't work with FSX Steam Edition

I think I might be able to help here. I have FSX:SE and these are the two lines from my AIFP.ini Path to FSX=X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX Path to FSX.cfg=C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\FSX.cfg I think that the problem is that you are not pointing to the FSX.cfg. Try that.

    Time Table request

That sounds reasonable, Don. Thanks a lot for taking a look at it anyway.

    Not a problem.

    Time Table request

Apologies for taking so long to respond but I hadn't visited the forum this week. OK, whilst I am looking at the usefulness from a users point of view I will try to structure the response in a way that may help in regards to programming. Firstly, it goes without saying that it the plan is NOT a...

Weird thing noticed with AIFP 3.3.2.3

I apologize if I was not getting across succinctly enough my concerns. The report that I copied for you happened to be a report with 6x warnings. They all happened to be errors that AIFP recognizes about TNG legs. I will stipulate that I understand that AIFP produced traffic files will not...

Weird thing noticed with AIFP 3.3.2.3

I agree with you that TNG timings are a road that has been covered for a long time. The bottom line is that I feel that I found an issue within AIFP. I realise that my job is to convince you that there is a problem that needs to be looked at. I have failed to achieve this.

Weird thing noticed with AIFP 3.3.2.3

Well the specific issue here is that it compiles without warnings but then it has built-in issues that are not seen unless you check the compiled file as well. It is double work. for the user The reason why this is an issue is mainly down to the fact that if you use TNG legs then you have a...

Weird thing noticed with AIFP 3.3.2.3

Thanks for replying, Don. I re-read that section of the manual and read what you wrote. If we ignore me possibly giving too much info about loading files then lets take that out of the equation. A manual validate of that compiled traffic file gives a different outcome to a manual validate of...

Weird thing noticed with AIFP 3.3.2.3

OK I double-checked and found that 'Sequence Flight Plans for Best AI Performance' was highlighted'. The weird thing is that I have never had that on before. At some point it must have been altered. This is proven by the amount of compiled files I have that are perfectly fine. However, I...

Weird thing noticed with AIFP 3.3.2.3

For reasons unconnected with AIFP I was checking something with a set of flight plans I had. What I found was an anomally or two. For reasons unknown to myself I chose to load the traffic file to check something rather than the raw text files. What I got was some warnings in a Validation...

That's fair enough. I would class it as a nice to have rather than a need to have.

    Time Table request

Sorry, Don. You are quite correct. I just couldn't see it for looking. However, it does bring up one question. Supposing that you load a multi-week plan into the Time Table. How can you tell which is the current week of that multi-week plan. For example in an 8-week plan which week is the...
