• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    Build All immediately crashes MSFS...

But MSFS must be closed via Steam. I am just trying to learn how to do the very most basic scenery, and have created a simple torus with a gray texture as a test object. It's no problem to load the asset group & place, scale, and rotate the torus, but as soon as I try to build, the FS window...

Creating a collection of scenery objects that can be used anywhere?

I'm trying to understand how to create a collection of scenery objects I can use anywhere, and I think it's by creating a Custom package type. Is this correct? If so... any tutorials for doing so? The only tutorial I've used so far that worked started with creating a new file for an Airport. TIA

    ModelLib or BGL?

Background: haven't found a current object creation tutorial that works. Starting from scratch... I'm creating objects that will be available to add into any scenery... So, for example, I'm creating a mailbox, or a small group of people. For each type - for example, "People" - I'm planning on...

Blender: What combination of SDK, Blender, and Plugins?

Using Blender 3.3.11, SDK 0.22.3. Installed the Blender plugin io_scene_gltf2_msfs dated 9/27/2023. I can’t seem to load the XML file created by exporting from blender - just get a popup with the message “The project could not be loaded.” I am following the tutorial shown here. No clue how...

Guide to current Blender to MSFS Workflow?

I see the guide 4 here, and have installed it, but the last image shows an “MSFS Extensions” choice - I don’t have that - blender_6_exporting1013×529 70.9 KB ... and there are no further instructions. I tried making an object (and saved it to my community folder) but can’t find it. Any...

MSFS20 Where to get the correct version of ADE?

Tried the "usual" downloads page, but on installation, ADE doesn't recognize FS 2020 & the pull-down to "Choose FS Version" is blank.

MSFS20 Fastest way to correct runway headings? (Navigraph issue)

Currently looking at KRNO. I found that I couldn't select a specific arrival procedure, and the reason was that the current in-game runways don't match the real-world data. Meaning, the runway headings are all different by 1 degree. What's the fastest way to fix this? I don't know if actually...

MSFS20 Where to start? Need to modify default airport.

Hi all, My first goal is to modify my home airport (N14) and 1) remove some taxiway lighting running up the center of a taxiway, 2) remove trees near one end of the runway, and 3) move the beacon to its correct location. Obviously I'd like to duplicate the default airport and edit. I have...
