• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

AI flight sliding off runway on takeoff.

Thanks for that Tom. I noticed that with the AIM erj145 & the 145xr. Almost the same values. I made so many changes that I figured to start over with a fresh install. Changed out the airfile & tweaked the matching points of contact plus some others & this is what I got. Success. This is the...

AI flight sliding off runway on takeoff.

Your post just might have woke up my little gray cells, the few that I have left. It seems I borrowed the parameters from the ".cfg" file which showed some improvement. Now maybe combining it with the ".air" file, It just might work. It's late now, I'll let you know how I made out after I get...

AI flight sliding off runway on takeoff.

Thanks for the reply. I resurrected an old P4 & installed it on that. the three packages are for 2002, 2004 & FSX. I found the erj-135. Not as detailed as the AIM model, but it does fly. Your memory is fairly accurate about the contents. As far as the AIM model goes, I made a mistake...

AI flight sliding off runway on takeoff.

Chris, Did some more testing. Changing parameters didn't help. What I did notice is that the jetway does not deploy to the AIM plane. Yet the jetway deployed & connected to the invisible AIG plane. This, the large weight disparity & the different CG parameters leads me to believe that the...

AI flight sliding off runway on takeoff.

I did find another ERJ-135 by AIG. Only problem is it utilizes PBR textures which I am not familiar with. While testing I did observe the B2 gate jetway attach to an invisible plane which was confirmed by the airport schedule. I compared the flight dynamics of the AIM & AIG models. There...

AI flight sliding off runway on takeoff.

Thanks for the reply Chris. I thought of that. But like I said in my previous post, I recompiled the flight plan with that plane for FS9. Ran it in FS9 that has no add-ons with the same results. The flight dynamics do not work in either simulator. I figured nobody replied because they could...

AI flight sliding off runway on takeoff.

POI. I did some additional testing. Re-compiled the flight plan for FS9 with the AIM erj135 plane. As you can see, both planes start out from the gate at the proper time. (FS9 does not like FSX graphics) They taxied out onto the runway. On the taxiway you could see the tire smoke from both...

AI flight sliding off runway on takeoff.

Ran the test on a default airport across the river KCXY with the exact same results. Thanks for the suggestions to try to resolve this problem. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

AI flight sliding off runway on takeoff.

@ Chris Eve, The airport ids KMDT being upgraded by Matt Derr. He put in the new terminal & FBO buildings at the north end of the airport. Just scenery work from what I observed in ADE. As far as I know it is the original runway at KMDT. The runway is 10,000 feet so there is plenty of room...

AI flight sliding off runway on takeoff.

I recently created a flightplan using an AIM ERJ135 jet by AI Malcontent in FSX & the FDE by David Rawlins. Two a/c taking off together from KMDT. Everything was going according to schedule. Both planes left the gate on time & taxied to runway 31. First plane started to take off, when...

Assigning specific airlines to specific gates

@Big777jet, Thanks for the info on the parking types. Wasn't aware of that. It seems I have some more corrections to make.

Assigning specific airlines to specific gates

I'm glad to hear your problem was resolved. I just wanted to let you know that I found the cause of my problem. Reading Toms' post caused me to look at "all" the facts of the parking entries more closely. It seems in my trying to keep with the authenticity of the airport, with one gate being...

Assigning specific airlines to specific gates

It's nice to see that I am not the only old geezer still interested in FS. You only have me by a couple of years. By the first one do you mean since the days of DOS. I still have a copy of that on a floppy somewhere. Like you I am looking to clear up this problem. I was just adding some...

Assigning specific airlines to specific gates

I am running into the same problem, but with more specific assignments for a/c & parking. I am running FSAccel with the latest version of ADE 1.79 on Win 10. The airport is KMDT by Matt Derr which I have been been trying to upgrade. The problem is I have a military cargo plane (C130-j)...

_Problems upgrading to and using ADE_v1-76 (correction)

Chris, Thanks for the reply. I basically do the same thing, mine is labelled archive. The problem with the houses is; they are "outside of the airport boundary". The single house was always there, but I wasn't ready to work on it at the time. Now I am at the point to build & connect the...

_Problems upgrading to and using ADE_v1-76 (correction)

Did some more research & found the the two extra houses are indeed an autogen double. By loading the a/p without the CVX file the double houses are not generated. But, still cannot get get any of the houses excluded. Suggestions anyone ???

_Problems upgrading to and using ADE_v1-76 (correction)

I recently (02/05) upgraded ADE from v1.70 to 1.76. Install seemed to go alright, except it would not accept the demo pro-key. I ran the ADE enviro checker ‭& it could not find ADE. ( & report attached.) Had to set the path manually to get ADE recognized & connect to FSX. I tried three (3)...

FSXA Need help updating KMDT- cvx.bgl file

Rosario, I have completed the first three steps you described. Now, I can expand the airport area & set up the roads properly. By emptying the CVX file, I meant I removed the ABP & the roads. What I was left with were the four co-ordinates outlined by the green box. The airport boundary. I...

FSXA Need help updating KMDT- cvx.bgl file

@ Rosario, Thanks for pointing in the right direction. I now have an empty CVX file. I also removed the roads. To get everything right would mean repositioning buildings. Roadwork is cheaper. What was confusing was the contents of the CVX file. It shows only four points (Lat/Lon) as the...

FSXA Need help updating KMDT- cvx.bgl file

I don't plan on working on it anymore. I am just going to follow your advice & exclude the original airport background. Then make a new one, like my previous one. Glad to hear the fence is an airport object, that probably means the CVX file is not corrupted. If I am lucky, it will retain my...
