• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

v3.5.0 released Changelog: New Body Velocities added to the Environment page. Monitoring Acceleration Body X/Y/Z seems to be the only way to reliably detect a spin/flat spin/climbing roll. Bugfixes None

    Fuel always full

Thanks Tom. Should have rechecked the sim version... 😄

    Fuel always full

If it's a specific third-party aircraft then the fuel is probably set using a SimConnect connection. It's not possible on a default aircraft.
  6. DragonflightDesign

    Fuel always full

You will need to set the fuel level using the Fuel And Payload configuration, then save the scenario. You can't set the fuel load to be a default 65%.

    “Helpful”AI

You can't trust image search results either. Since PILOT'S released the P3Dv6 Boeing B-314 I'm seeing a whole load of new photographs of the interior from the 1930s. Only problem is, they're screenshots from the simulator manual...

    FSX:SE Sim Connect Hell

Also see this: https://fsdeveloper.com/forum/resources/managed-simconnect-in-vb-net.305/ I wrote it for P3Dv6 but there is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't work for FSX:SE if you feed it the correct 32-bit simconnect dll and change the compiler configuration to x86.

Step by step tutorial for SODE jetway.

It's no longer available as a separate download. It does come with some ORBX seneries but it seems that 12bpilots have stopped development.

MSFS24 Need help creating a pulsing light

I don't have MSFS2024, but if I was to take another run at your problem, I'd say you are missing the Fade In / Fade Out parameters in the Particle section. Or maybe Asobo have moved it to the LightAttributes section? That's a new one on me; it doesn't exist in P3D. Check the SDK for info on that...

Modeling illuminating runway and taxi lights for P3D aircraft

There are two ways of setting lights on a model. 1. The fx file is 'attached' to a position in the aircraft structure by the VC developer. 2. You define the light fx position and name in the aircraft.cfg file (this is the method I prefer to use). I can't speak for 3D Lights, but the way I do...

MSFS24 Need help creating a pulsing light

Try modifying the original fx_beacon.fx? I think that should get you what you need.

FSX Not really a developer problem but I'm desparate

"Tried Restore, no go. System won't restore and there is no restore point from yesterday before attempting to install gsx." How big is your HDD and how much disc space have you got left?

    FSX:SE Gauges

Ah. Ignore my comment - I assumed that you were talking about a C/C++ gauge. My apologies :)

    FSX:SE Gauges

Be sure that you have correctly listed the gauge in the export table. If it's mssing, the gauge will compile without error but nothing will show up.

    P3D v4 P2 Audio Advisory Gauge Help

I'm not familiar with MSFS2024 but I do know that if an audio panel is not declared in the aircraft.cfg file in P3D, one of two things will happen; - the audio file will not play - the audio file plays but will not stop playing.

AI Flight Planer issue using P3Dv4?

I don't know :) . My excursions into the airfile have been limited to changing engine and control surface parameters. Have you tried drag'n'drop with the .air file? Can you post a picture?

AI Flight Planer issue using P3Dv4?

Odd because the airfile format has not changed since (probably) FS2002. It works on P3Dv5 and P3Dv6 - I know, because I'm using it. The only 'changes' that have been made is that some of the parameters in the airfile are now overwritten by parameters in the aircraft.cfg file.
