• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v5 About ntdll.dll error/crash.

Hi,

It is a well known problem what ntdll.dll causes.
In my case, I believe it's a corrupt AI texture problem, as I had disabled all addon sceneries and all addon AFD files, but the issue is still there same place-same time.
My query is : If it's a corrupt AI texture which causes CTD, is there any way to locate it ? And I have installed really many AI flightplans & aircraft.

Thanks,

Sotiris.

You need to consolidate your AI, either with flight plans, or dedicated directory. Once you have a single repository of either, you can alternately disable half your fleet, in reducing increments, until you have narrowed the problem to a single flight plan, or model file. AI Flight Planner could be your repository, if you are able to clearly divide the fleet and keep track of each half.

Rick,

Thanks for your advice.
I understand to disable half of active flightplans and then proceedwith further halving them.
I actually use the AI Flight Planner, but I don't quite realise how AIFP can help, according to your alternate solution.

I don't either, but if your planes and flight plans are located all through your addon scenery directory, it may be the only option.

It might be simpler to remove half of the planes to a backup folder, rather than half the flight plans.

Many thanks to both of you.

That's what I did. The investigation goes on, the culprit must be in the second half.

I wonder if it is possible an entire aircraft folder to be corrupt, e.g. TFS 777-200LR and all of its textures.
I have stuck in an aircraft folder and no matter how many times I halve the textures down, a CTD occurs.

It could be that many or all of them are bad (i.e. incompatible with your video card).

OK, but it worked until few days ago. Strange. Maybe a windows update is responsible for that ?
