• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Next alpha has the following changes:

- Layering of elements should be better sorted out
- Show/Hide implemented for a couple of elements - access from view menu
- Colors of taxilines now reflect Georges' suggestion
- Taxilines have small arrow showing direction based on Bgl start/end node values
- Runway extensions will show up as pale blue (tempoarary colo)
- Pan using arrow keys as for AFCAD
- Zoom using +/- key on keyboard or number pad
- pan/zoom via mouse now disabled

over write your existing installation to keep your airport list and FS Folder information

Feedback please :)

This one looks much clearer on screen and the movement is less confusing (probably being used to afcad). Window resizing working fine. I am looking forward to being able to use this one now, good work, Jon.

One additional suggestion - scroll bars at the bottom and side would be very useful.

But looking very good.

BTW did I miss this item before?

Are vehicle links connect to the parking spots by nodes in most default FSX airports?

I though they only crossed over them, but there was not a connecting node.

Vehicle links must connect to the parking spot link using a node. This is the way FSX is defaulted.

If they just passed over then there would be no need for them because vehicles would revert to the AI Plane taxiway link.

It's also working fine in Vista 64. Only I'm not able to use the mouse to pane or zoom, just using the keyboard for this.

That's correct as per the notes at the top of this thread. This build only allows pan and zoom via the keyboard

Hi Jon
this is getting better, resizing is good
i'm happy with the colours, the magenta for the vehicle path really stands out, and i like the update idea,
a suggestion, would it be possible, later down the track to add to your list, to be able to rotate it?
BTW, i'm running Vista 32bit

Jon, where taxi-signs removed from this version?

As for the zoom, could it be tied to the mouse wheel along with the +- keys? And there could be a toggle to switch on/off mouse panning.

Not intentionally :) I'll check it out in case I turned them off by mistake

I think there are several things I can do. At the moment I plan to implement the same mouse pan/zoom model that Lee had in AFCAD.

Jon,

What do you use the right-button for? Could this not be used for panning and the wheel for zooming?

George

George

Right button will be for context menus (as for AFCAD). I plan to use the wheel for zooming and if pressed to pan as Lee does in AFCAD2
