• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi,

Looks like the same line style name works fine now, thanks. The two exceptions seem to be fixed too.

I have one odd problem, though, only for horizontal lines.

When I first assign the line to my TRG horizontal line texture, it looks like this (as it should):

attachment.php

But after I select a line style, I get this:

attachment.php

As you can see, the texture has been flipped vertically. This also happens when I edit the line and re-select a line style.

Hope this helps,

Tom, I guess you didn't see the edit to the 0.0.54 release post which advises not to use it. You should revert to 0.0.53 for any testing. It is identical as far as the texture editor goes.

When I first assign the line to my TRG horizontal line texture, it looks like this (as it should):
If you look carefully, you'll see that the texture is displayed 90 degrees off. Also, and more interesting, is the flip of the texture. This has been reported once before but I have never been able to determine how it happens. Perhaps further study of 0.0.54 will shed some light on that.

I hope to have an update available later today.

Hi,

Using version 0.0.55 and 1.60.4895 it does exactly the same thing - when you edit the line, after you choose the new line style the texture is flipped vertically.

Hope this helps,

Can't duplicate with the files I'm using./

Please send me your ADE file with instructions how to duplicate

Hi,

Here are the files. I am now using 0.0.56.

Try editing the L shaped line at the far left edge of the airport (it uses the PatternedLines TRG texture). When you reselect the texture, you will see:

attachment.php

Then you will see this:

attachment.php

Note that the texture has been flipped vertically.

Then after you select the line, the texture flips back to normal.

This does not happen with one segment lines or with vertical lines.

Not really a big deal, unless it causes other problems. :)

Hope this helps,

Tom, this does not appear to happen in 0.0.57, just released. I suspect it had to do with those commented-out lines of code.

Please re-test.
