• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 AI Long-Hauls completely destroyed

I tried my hand at using AI Flight Planner to try to streamline my existing, custom AI flights. Wound up having half of the flight plans simply not work; as numerous 747's and an A380 or three have completely disappeared from my custom, fictitious airports. The 747's I can understand, since they used my custom re-paints for the OpenSky paint kits for the AI flight plans and I tried fixing the names after AIFP highlighted them and another aircraft model (An OS 737 winglet model) in red.

I'd say I nuked half my FP file, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I'm pulling my hair out here; as I've spent more time doing troubleshooting than flying on FS time for ten days straight.... :banghead:

Can anyone take a gander at the flight plan texts, and perhaps point out what I'm missing or failing to see? Edit: I shall provide airport bgl's if requested.

AIFP "doesn't care" what Ai aircraft you use, so long as they are installed on your system. Whether or not they show us is up to FS9/FSX.

It sounds like you may have a mix of FS9 and FSX traffic files, i.e. as would happen if your flight plans were originally for FS9 but you compiled some of them for FSX after editing. This is a "no-no" (blame FSX., not AIFP). See the sticky above.

Ahh, that makes sense. In that case, and since I don't use FSX and never will, it is likely that I probably unwittingly compiled them for FSX when I was trying to figure out how to compile them for FS9.
