• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Aircraft - Listing - Default Types (FSX)

Actually, I do have a question that's totally unrelated to the topic...

...but I've never let that stop me before, so here it is...

Is there some sort of WYSIWYG "editor" for creating Wiki pages. In particular that lovely table! :D

Hi Folks

Bill
That's an entirely valid question in this Wiki forum. ;)

But no,
not AFAIK, (though not that I'd looked recently).

That one was lovingly hand-crafted in notepad. :D

Actually it's a slightly modifed version
of one I'd pinched from elsewhere. :tapedshut

EDIT -
Let me know what you're after
I might be able to knock one up for you.

Formatting is template based,
so if intended for elsewhere,
they'd also need to be installed.

Hi Bill,

Good question. Until now I always made my tables text based, but it is not really intuitive I have to say :).

So maybe Paul can come up with something easier or else I will have a look if there is something for MediaWiki availble. Since it is widely used I guess there might be something.

Hi Folks

Apologies gents for the misunderstanding.

I meant I'd knock up a table,
not a tool. :D

Well Paul, your proclivities to knock up things notwithstanding, as long as you don't have to pay child support... :rotfl:

I don't have any actual need myself at the moment, but was thinking that a WYSIWIG "Wiki Editor" would certainly make Wiki entry creation much less of an arcane activity.

I actually did find and install a plugin for MS Word that will convert a word.doc to "Wiki format" mostly intact...

...but doesn't handle embedded images nor tables very well (if at all!).

Hi Folks

Bill -
I'll have to be careful I don't spawn a Nest of Tables. :D

AIUI ordinary HTML table tags are supported.
So you should be able to paste that straight in.

I'd beware of using Word,
as it uses non-W3-compliant MS specific tags.

Ok - Now googled, best results -
For 3rd party converters
please have a look at Wikipedia - Help Tables - External Links

Maybe try this online converter

There's also a Firefox plugin, (I've not tested it yet).
EDIT - It's for Wikipedia only.
