• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Airport offset

Tried using the google image as a reference in background of YPPH but it seems that YPPH is offset in FSX so they dont line up, question is if I make the aiport correct will it buger up the terminal positions or will they follow?? also is there any way to move the image seperate to the airport itself, without having to change references ? Interesting thing is the world airport data site agrees with the FSX default, but the PDF i got here and google agre with one another but differ to the default, i would assume they would all use the same reference, dont they ??

Well on further investigation I used the move tool and it moved ok, and on comparrsion to the google earth picture it looks to be in the correct position, of course as i figured i lost all the terminals. The other strange thing is when i use the image tool and use the google earth feature, the google earth pic ends up over the ocean ?? Well you only learn by playing.

We are working on making it much easier to move background pictures within FSX Planner. This should allow you to leave the airport where it is within FSX, and move the background image to fit the current airport location.

Cool, thanks I do have an issue but i think it may be a video driver issue, when i pan around it seesm to move fine but when i zoom in it tends to lag or when moving obects which is a bit annoying especially when trying to align taxi ways and parking spots etc.

AMD X2 64 6000, 2 Gig DR2 800 MHz cas 4 ram, Asus m2n mobo, Nvidia 8800 GTS 320 meg ram, will let you know when what happens when next driver.

When moving objects, do you get lag equally on all objects, or is it more prevelant on certain objects, such as taxiways, and less so on other objects like vor beacons or towers?
