• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Airport removal

Hi,

I made a new test airport with ADE 165 to use in FSX.

The airport loads and appears on the airport list at start up.

However when trying to uninstall the airport by removing

all reference to the airport BGL files ect. the airport still appears

on the airport list at start up.

Is there a way to remove all references to the airport to prevent it

showing in the airport list at start up

I have done a machine wide search on my computer using the airport

name but now matches are found.

Any help welcome,

Regards,

DGB

In the latest versions of ADE there is a way to check this.

Go to TOOLS and select "File Priority Analyzer".
Enter the airfield code into "Ident to Find".
Click "Scan".

If it finds anything it will list any files that will put the airfield in the start up list. It will tell you file names and location.

Not sure if this is in ADE 165 though.

I think 1.65 has the file priority analyzer but I no longer have it installed and it is no longer supported

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
The problem was that I had two airports with similar names GAN (my new airport) and GAM the stock airport (Gamston).
I wrongly misread my GAN ID as GAM and so was reluctant to delete it.
However on further investigation showed that Gamston was a totally different airport and so I deleted my GAN ID airport BGL files
and it removed the GAN airport .
So finding and deleting all BGL files does in fact remove any aiport made by ADE.
Thanks again
DGB
