• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Any chance of a 2020/2021 FSDeveloper "Virtual" Conference

I guess this is mainly directed at Arno

Any thoughts or interest in hosting a Develop "Virtual" Conference. ?

I could imagine something like a Zoom (or other conferencing app) where speaker could give a brief talk or demonstration, and then open the floor up to a Question/Answer session. (with the session being archived up on Fsdeveloper, like the previous conference)

There is a lot of new and exciting possibilities with the new MS FS2020, so no lack of interesting subject matter.

I guess it depends a lot on finding those willing to be speakers, and the availability of time and resources to put it all together,

Rather than one BIG event, maybe Mini Events, on a Monthly basis or the winter.

ANY INTEREST ??

Yes please. I loved the previous conferences and hope that their ROI for the folks at FSDeveloper was positive.

Hi,

I'm not sure if we have enough experts already to give the presentations, everybody is still learning.

In theory it would be interesting to have another conference. But it took quite some time to organise last time, so we would need some people to help with that.

How does one be labeled an expert? I wanna know so I can ensure I avoid such labeling. :D

Perfect! I have no recollection of the mistakes in question. :D

On a serious note... I'd be up for at least listening to someone who has been accused of being an expert. :)

LOL .. I have been away from Flight Sim, and this forum for quite some time (since FSX ceased development - 2008 ? ).
However, still a few thing I remember about, when I was last here.
Good to see that WarpD has not changed.
Don't believe everything you read here -- I seem to remember WarpD being quite an expert, and an excellent source of helpful information.

If it is a MSFS-centric conference, my own interest would wane, but I'm sure others would be ecstatic.

I'd be down for that. If someone organizes this, I'm more than happy to give a presentation or two. I can cover my Blender and the toolkit, animations, behavior templates, substance painter, or aircraft design/workflow in general.
