after creating a building in fsds. I sent it over to apfw. It did not go over as a api file, it went over as a scasm file. If i try and save it as a api file in fsds it will not do it. I did this 2yrs ago, without a prob.( how times have changed. )appreciate any help.

Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Maybe you can explain your problem a bit more clear. When you say the API does not work, do you mean it is not created or that it does not work in AFW?
You should remember that a SCASM file and an API macro are not the same. An API file contains special code, that allows values to be passed to it during placement (like the position, scale, etc).

Arno, thanks for your reply,after I create a model In fsds, I select macro-api file,and fsds sends it over to afw as a scasm file not a api file, I now think something has gotten crossed in fsds.I will reinstall the program and let you know what happens. Thanks.

Well! It looks like I screwed up,I had the pref"s,in fsds set for User api"s, not just apI. this seems to have taken care of the prob. thanks agaIn.
