• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Currently working on ground textures. This is just an early draft and should be seen as exactly that.

This texture is mainly for the apron area, I will not fill out the entire airport with a tiling texture, just thought i should mention that. :)
I'm trying the different markings as well so it's not an actual place at the airport (just thought I should mention that as well).

By the way, some updates regarding progress.
I'm progressing even though it's been a break the last few weeks. I'm pretty much working on this alone these days so the release date will probably be later, I would aim at christmas, but more likely early spring.

I'm working on this completely on my spare time with no payment of course, so the support from you guys (and that i really want this for myself haha, and it's a lot of fun making even though its ALOT of work) is really what keeps me going.

If there are experienced 3D-modelers out there, or people that can help out with placing signs, or lights or whatever time consuming work there is, I would be happy to receive help.

This is a freeware for the community, for you guys. I hope you accept it will take some further time and that you will show your support the whole development period.

Considering the fact that this is freeware of such high quality, I don't expect anyone is angry with you that this project will take some time!

quite fun detail about the texture is that i've been searching for a good ground image to base the ground textures on and it was so hard to get what i was looking for. i wanted the material to be really appearing and the texture within the material to be stripes in a rough edit. AND I finally i found it! On charles de gaulle. it is based on the ceiling in the departure hall of charles de gaulle but looks perfect for imitating ground tiles. (it's been reworked quite much but it had the right character). ;) I was so happy. My girlfriend congratulated me and we both agreed it was a big day for mankind (or at least my scenery development). was a nice ending on a beautiful holiday to finally get a shot of a ground texture i've been thinking about how to best construct a long time.

also might explain why stuff takes time with scenery developing :)

well this is the reworked one, or at least a draft.
the original picture is basically just a ceiling, not that much to show :)

Great:D

Will you made the Jumbo Hotel? :)

and Is a Freeware or Payware project?

Greetings, Marc L

The Jumbo Hotel, haha oh I haven't even thought about that. Yes that should be included in the final product of course.
I think that jumbo is the same as one we were supposed to go with to spain when i was a kid but they went bankrupt just a few weeks before our trip. So we always considered it a constant reminder of the money we lost.

It's a freeware.

Not that much to show, I've been doing a lot of taxi lines etc lately and also got some assistance that can't be seen in these screens. Started texturing t4, just wanted to say that to those of you waiting.
