• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

My Traffic stuff

Daniel,
Thanks for your comments.
The load time was not the 4 minutes as experienced with FSX-SP2 prior to it's installation. This is now back to normal however as I re-installed 'clean' over the RTM FSX + SP1. This also resolved the frame rate issues to a point.
I don't use the My Traffic schedules as in my mind they are unrealistic and hard to generate to my satisfaction. Ultimate Traffic X is in my mind far superior both in modelling and scheduling. I purchased MT to get the models and liveries missing from the UT product (I think I use about 7), and to use the scheduling feature for the GA traffic. I have since disabled some of these as models such as the Cessna Stationaire and the Vulcanair are poor and detract from the overall image.
I have scenery problems with DX10 so even if the aircraft are converted I will keep to DX9 to maintain some level of realism.

Merry Christmas

Well, ACES did - in fact - give such notice. It's no longer a state secret that several years ago, ACES invited both payware and freeware developers (at least all the ones of which they were aware), to join their new flightsim developer's network. ACES also asked those who accepted to forward the contact information for anyone else who should be invited to join. I sent contact info for at least twelve freeware devs whom I knew hadn't been "noticed." I know other devs did the same

Will or has this also happened for FSXI?

I'm all for a total rebuild of FS....little or no backward
compatibility as long as MS gives us the chance to hit the
ground running with new tools.
