• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Beech Baron 58 for Microsoft Flight Preview Movie

Hi folks,
It has been a while since I last posted on this forum, but that does not mean that nothing has been happening. For the last six months I have continued to work with Stonelance & KavindaJD on the development of the Beech Baron 58. Right now, it is in flight testing.

Just for fun, I was trying out some new video editing software a week or so ago that I have but never got round to using. The link below will allow you to download a preview movie of the Beech baron 58 aircraft. Please note that:
  • I'm a complete novice at movie editing, so the file may not open at all in whatever software program you use to watch mpeg movies. It works fine on my PC, but I do not guarantee that it will open on yours.:(
  • The movie is about 9 minutes long, so the file is quite large, and may take quite a while to download if you have a slow connection.
  • The aircraft in the movie is an "Alpha" version. It had a number of bugs which are visible in the movie (can you spot an obvious one?), which have since been fixed. The current version is much better.
  • While recording, I was trying to keep track of what was going on with the editing program & flying at the same time, so no comments on my poor flying skills please!
  • And finally, if you happen to actually own a real Beech Baron 58, please don't try any of the maneuvers that you see in the movie!!!!:)
Here is the link:
Edited January 11 2017: I've removed the movie as the Beech Baron 58 has been released, and is available for download from within the Flight Toolkit Addon Manager application.

Good job, is that an FSX model ported to Flight or have you found out how to build from scratch?

FSX to Flight. I'm pretty sure that we can build from scratch, but this would mean exporting to MDL then converting to Flight .model. Maybe later we can cut out the middleman and go straight from .max => .model..

Although, I must say my 3D modelling is shocking! :D

Hi FS-Tester

Excellent work.

Please PM me an accessible communication path,
