• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Bounding/Crash/Fuel Box Display in fs*.cfg

Does anyone remember or know what the FS*.cfg entry is to show crash/bounding/fuel boxes in FS is?

I'm trying to track down the source of a crash and I remember years ago somewhere between FS2000 and FS2004 that there was a line you could add to a .cfg file that will display bounding boxes in the sim.

I'm running into an invisible crash on the runway on both default FSX scenery and a rebuilt AFCAD/AFX/ADE file and I suspect it may be a windsock causing the problem but I'm still doing tests.

I can't for the life of me find this old .cfg tweak online anywhere on a Google search...

[edit]Found what was causing the crash, a scenery library object in another directory... However I'd still love to track down this old tweak from yesteryear to be able to track down problems like this, I hope the knowledge from the past hasn't been lost to history...

To see the fuel boxes use ShowTriggers in the Scenery section.

Code:
[scenery]
 ShowTriggers=1

No sure what the code is for Bounding boxes though.

Thanks David :) That was the one, I'll have to run some tests to see if I can find out if they actually did implement display of crash and bounding boxes...
