• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello. I have a problem with my buildings in FS. I am making my hometown scenery, and i made some buildings (5 actually), i see them in FS ,yes, but the problem is that they are in ground. I checked the altitude of this 5 building API and it is 0 meters. I putted these 5 buildings into 1 .api format file. So. How can i make the ground to be on one level? I dont know do you understan what i am trying to say but i need to get these buildings out of the ground. I thought that maybe the problems solution is that if ill make every house into a seperate .api file. Well. Sorry about this messi text:P Any help is welocome.

Regards, Johannes!

Do you want to flatten the area around the buildings? You could do that within FSSC for example.
Or if you want to adjust the altitude of the buildings you'd better put them in different APIs. Then you can assign each of them the right altitude. Have you placed them at 0ftMSL or AGL? AGL should be the one. ;)

Another thing: Are you sure the houses do not have any negative z-vectors?

Yes i am sure my houses do not have any negative z-vectors. I wil try that flating thing. I think this will help:P Oh yeah. You got it. I want the surrounding area near of my houses be at the same altitude all the time..Well i try that now and ill let you know if it help.
