• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Don, another one.

Has AIFP a bulk update facility for the activity level? If not so... I would love if you could add this to AIFP...

I might as well be missing it - if so please tell me where to look. Thanks!!

No, AIFP doesn't have such a feature. At "first blush" it doesn't seem to be generally useful. How do you see such a feature operating?

I am looking at ~300 flight plans, many of them having absurd activity levels of 70%-90% defined.
I want to reduce this to a level I find more suitable.
Ideally randomized between min value and max value. But I would not mind having them reduced to any single new value at all.

I have serious doubts about the general usefulness of such a feature but, since it's you asking and such a feature is relatively simple - and safe - to implement, I'll see what I can do.

Please give Development Release 3.2.05(e), now available at http://stuff4fs.com a try. I think it will do everything you wanted and more.

Documentation is in the new Section 8.10 of the user manual, also included in the archive.

If I want to use the Bulk Activity for a folder full of BGL's...what is the proper insertion of minimum and maximum... I want to do 1-100...what is the proper way so I can just paste it in. The instruction in the manual and the program..kinda leaves me in the dark. I have entered and entered what it asks for but I haven't got the right combination..like the lottery.

Thank you!!

This leaves me somewhat in the dark as well since there is no function of that name in AIFP and the term does not occur in the user manual. As well, the AI engine operates on all accessible traffic files, not a specific folder (unless that is the only accessible folder).

Please be a little more specific, like giving the exact name of the function, a meaningful description of what you are trying to do and/or a reference point in the user manual that you feel should give additional explanation.

I have selected the Traffic File folder where the AIG-OCI bgl's are located and I select Bulk Traffic-adjust activity level and I get this screen. I don't know the exact way to enter 1-100 for activity level..That was my question.
Thank you Don,
BobM.

For whatever reason I had at the time (a number of years ago), I limited the upper parameter to 99. "1-99" is accepted. "100" will be accepted in the next release.

Oh, ok. Thanks..btw what is the correct entry to write?
"1-99"

Also I noticed that once that screen pops up for the entry and you if don't get it right for the 50th time that you can't exit the program without ctrl alt del...
Thank you Don,
BobM.

Just like in the manual and as I specified in my previous post - "1-99" (without the quotes). Make sure your CAPS LOCK isn't on.

There's nothing in the program that counts the number of entries you make. Apparently, you've triggered something in the hardware or operating system.

Thank you Don.....Only kidding about the fifity times ( i kept typing 1-100 with parenthesis and brackets by reading the pop-up box over and over) but not about the ctrl-alt-delete. I finally got it right...type in 1-99...no parenthesis or brackets.
Have a Great Day!!
