• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I spent too much time on this joke so it's staying.

Maybe only another month or two to go.

I had to change graphics programs a month ago. Paint Shop Pro had a bug with displaying layers so I updated it. It fixed the bug but it had a far worse bug when zooming which made the whole program unusable and there was no way to roll back the update.

So I had to switch to Affinity Photo v2. I'd tried Affinity a few years ago and it had a whole bucketload of bugs which made it difficult to use. They've fixed most all of them in v2 and it's much more stable now. It still has one bug where if I select a region and then swap to Blender it will sometimes cause Affinity to hang. I just have to make sure to clear any selections before switching. While there are a few things that PSP could do better on the whole I'd say Affinity does a lot of other things much better than PSP. Particularly loading and saving files. The fuselage textures I am using are about 1GB in size and they take only a few seconds to load/save while on PSP it would take up to a minute.

Anyway, I've finished the repaints (I think, there's one error I can see in this screenshot) so here's a couple.

Holy cow - never seen such a beautifully textured and detailed model!!! Those parts all are amazing real looking. Where others have screws and bolts only on textures, you HAVE screws and bolts!
