MSFS20 camera;cfg

HI
I am developing a microlight and I am adjusting the cameras.
but each time I start I find myself with this “GROS PLAN” view (see image) whereas in the camera.cfg sdk this view does not exist. Other views defined in the sdk work correctly.
I tried with the camera.cfg of another MSFS native plane and I still have this problem.
A little idea???

Custom camera?

C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SimObjects\Airplanes

If there is a custom camera for this aircraft then you should find a camera.cfg file in the above folder for the plane.

Maybe because I'm on Steam,

I believe that Steam versions of MSFS will have a similar folder and Google tells me:

%AppData%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes\

In most installs %AppData% will be C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData so

C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SimObjects\Airplanes\

I don't have the Steam version so I can't confirm that location.

HI Anthony (and all readers of this forum)
I do have a cameras.cfg file in my plane folder, but the GROS PLAN camera does not appear in this file nor in the sdk (aircraft editor/cameras) and yet I find it in the simulator and it is the default cockpit camera.
I don't understand how this camera can create itself?

Is there a camera.cfg in AppData folder for your aircraft? In normal use you shouldn't need a camera.cfg file in that location so what happens if you delete it (or move it out of that folder to a temporary location)?

As I said earlier a file is only created in that location if there are custom views. It's possible you have created a custom view which is just a copy of an existing view.

Looking at the French locpak file below are all the references to "Gros plan". In the camera.cfg file in your you should look for references to ClosePilot or PANEL_CAMERA_ITEM_CLOSE_PILOT

This is a bit confusing as to how it is showing that translation though. I think in most aircraft the field Title ="ClosePilot" in the camera definition will have this field set as UITitle="TT:GAME.PANEL_CAMERA_PILOT_IFR" and not GAME.PANEL_CAMERA_ITEM_CLOSE_PILOT.

But you need to find where PANEL_CAMERA_ITEM_CLOSE_PILOT is being used.

I found a cameras.cfg here:
D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Official\Steam\fs-base.
When I delete the cameras.cfg file from my plane's package, I have the view of the central cockpit at startup, but I only have this view of the cockpit and the exterior views that I can select with the camera menu of the simulation. .
As soon as I add a camera with the aicraft editor, I find this "CLOSE UP" camera placed above and looking down.
I have modeled other planes for MSFS before, created custom cameras on them all and never had this problem.
I will follow your lead and I will continue my research and thanks again for the help.

This is not the correct path to that folder for Steam. You really have to be careful posting incorrect information. You could cause people to damage their files unintentionally.
