• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.

FSXA Cannot delete taxiway signs

I'm having a problem which occurs on any airport which I am editing; every time I delete a taxiway sign, it is still present after compilation, leading to random signs in the middle of taxiways etc. I've tried exclusion rectangles but that doesn't seem to work either!

First make sure that there is not another bgl file containing your airport that is active in FSX. This may have signs in it.

Second can you confirm that you are trying to exclude taxi signs from the stock airport or are these signs that you added?

You have to make sure that the main taxiway sign is deleted. If not then you end up with doubled taxiway signs. This may be the cause of your issue. Since you can't easily find the main taxiway sign, it's best to simply create an exclusion rectangle covering the entire airport, and specify that exclusion rectangle to delete all taxiway signs.

Okay, there is no other active bgl file, and the taxiway signs are the original ones found when opening the stock airport.

rf360m, Thanks!, this worked perfectly! It turned out I was indeed getting double taxiways signs, and the exculsion rectangle across the whole airport sorted it.
Maybe this is somewhat linked to the multiple ILS feather problem that is described in other posts.
