FSX Cannot rename SBuilder Photo* names

I have gone through all the steps in the right way and noticed something. When the photoreal scenery is compiled I get a Photo01.BGL, Photo02.BGL and Photo03.BGL. Yet if I disable Show Background and go through the map I only see ONE photo tile (could be Photo01, Photo02 or Photo03). Why does SBuilderX generates three if only one is shown/selectable in the UI?

The other problem I am having is, if I want to deploy this photoreal in the same scenery folder as another scenery then I will mostl likely have conflict with the Photo*.BGL, not only a name conflict but also that it is not easily identifiable as to which scenery project it belongs to.

So, I tried to alleviate the problem by selecting the map rectangle, then get Properties and renamed it from Photo01 to MP12_Photo01 (a more appropriate name). It goes well, except if I then Select All and do File |Compile BGL the Photoreal checkbox is disabled.

If I rename it back to the generic (and conflictive) Photo01 photo tile name, then I am able to compile the Photoreal scenery. Seems like a bug to me. Is there a trick or workaround?

You could naming it 'Photo_whatever'.

The name has to start with Photo.

After you compile the BGL. you can name it 'anythingatall.bgl' as the sim doesn't care what the name is.

I missed that in the documentation :( Anyway, thanks a LOT for this pearl of knowledge, that indeed solved the issue. Thanks a million.
