• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Regarding this animation things but this is moore related to cat I did try to use cat and first time it worked with my object then suddenly it refuses to make an mdl, it just makes the asm files and allso in cat you could read when pressing the compile mdl "error"?????

I made a new thread out of this, as it had nothing to do with the one your replied to.

What kind of error do you get? Without that kind of information it is hard to see what goes wrong.

Hello!
It is just making the asmfiles, as it should be it should produce an mdl file toghether with the asm files instead it just ends up with the asmfiles and after the compilation you could read in the cat dialog error in just one line togheter with the rest of information so something must be wrong with the model but what that is the question??
Cornel

Can you show the exact information shown in the compile screen?

BGLC: Error!

Compilation ready!

Looks, that explains a lot more :). You have an undefined symbol. This is usually caused by forgetting the tick18_ prefix in your animated part. Have you checked if the animation works correct before using CAT on it?

Yes!
I just discover that it does not work and I did put in the tick_18 it worked before but suddenly I cant get anything to animate maybe I have changed something in my configuration in gmax regarding the animation??
Cornel

Hello again!
I have to make some moore test I suspect that I was so stupid that I did put the name tick in wrong way because no error in cat but the animation does not work anyway but I will come back later after some moore tests.
Thanks Arno!

Yes!
I wa stupid once again it works now I thought I did change something by accident but it wast the name tick18 instead of the tick_18 that I did use at first,,,hmm that made the whole thing go wrong and now the cat made a great job!! :)
Thanks for the cat Arno :)
