• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I recently got the suggestion that we should also categorize the Wiki on FS version, so that you can easier see if a certain article is for the version of FS you are using.

One way of doing this is making a category for each version and assign the article to the correct category. I am not sure though if that would be very clear to the end user. So does anybody have other ideas or shall we give this a try?

You can consider using an infobox, though it might be a bit of an overkill if it is only used for the FS version.

Thanks Lars, I'll do some more research on the InfoBox. I did not come across that one yet when I searched for options.

Hi Folks

Apologies
I'd forgotten about this thread.
I've created sub-categories for each FS version,
and started linking in the wiki pages.

Please see - Category:General

Hi Paul,

Looks good. Only the sub-categories look a bit weird. For example the FSX category seems to be a sub-category of itself. I'll try to figure out how that is determine and how it can be fixed.

Hi Folks

Arno -
It may well be a config or mediawiki issue.
Subcategories
There are 5 subcategories to this category.
I think these are actually the 'Parent' categories,
and not the item's sub-categories.

EDIT
PS
Categories for "Aircraft design" & "Scenery design" are protected
and won't allow me to apply the parent [[category:General]].
Could any admin please add those.

Hi Paul,

Done, I have also unprotected them now as we have less spamming since the forum integration.

I also removed the Category tags from each version that made itself a sub category of itself. That is a bit weird.
