• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Changes in the new Annotator?

Hi there!

We´ll, I sat down tonight to annotate some photo-textures with the new FS2004 SDK Annotator. The images produced by SBuilder are flipped, so previously I´ve created copies, reversed them back to "normal" and then annotated. This I guess have been the right way.
Doing the same tonight I found trees seemingly scattered all over the place, and thus I wonder if it perhaps is no longer necessary to rotate the images back a 180 degrees before annotating?
Or am I all mistaken on this?

Thanks

I think I still needed to rotate them, but it is some time ago I tested with the SBuilder images so I can't remember completely.

Hi!

I still have some problems, the annotations that I make still scatter all over the place... Have to look into this, hopefully it has nothing to do with the blending of the default textures that SBuilder makes.

EDIT: Eureka, perhaps. SBuilder blends my textures with the default MS textures, and therfor it is possible that the AGN for these shows on top of my own. Guess I have to rename/remove these, or something like that.

Hi!

This might have been a one-off, but now it´s working. Some of the textures I used covered a very small portion of the LOD13 area. As long as I used those textures, the problem was there, but once I increased the area the autogen fell into place. Might have been some kind of priority-problem?!?

Hi,

I start reading the thread and became worried. It seems that everything is OK! :)
