• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Converting SBuilderX projects into SBuilder FS9?

Hello guys.
Is there any way to convert an SBuilderX project into the SBuilder FS9 format? I have tried a few options (like exporting/importing SBX files or opening SBP files directly) but all that failed. There was a topic about that already created: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/sbuilderx-and-fs9.8040/ , I just thought that maybe there are some new features available, since the topic is 8 years old. Actually I don't need to convert the whole project exactly, as it would not be possible - just as much as technically possible. As far as I know it is not possible in 205 to place a sat image below the project for taking the coordinates, like in the X version. This obviously complicates the whole thing a bit. Anyway I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hello:

Perhaps this info might help ? ;-)

NOTE: If the same GIS info and data format that LWMViewer2 puts into the "world" *.txt file which accompanies screen captures generated via that application is put into a "world" file using info from GMAPS or RhumbaMaps, one can use the aerial imagery screen captures generated via those applications ...with SBuilder for FS9, using the "Add Map From Disk" workflow.

PS: There is a way to draw on top of aerial imagery background maps in SBuilder for FS9:

One can also use Google Earth free editions with its detailed aerial imagery as a background to create a KML file; the KML can be converted to BLN with rhumbaflappy's KML2BLN utility for import to SBuilder for FS9 via the "Append" feature.
