• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

This is interesting. The paths that are not saving are the ones that are saved as global system preferences. The ones that are saving for you are saved as user preferences. I wonder if it is something to do with Vista's security features blocking global preferences from being saved?

I have tested FSX Planner on Vista and have not had this problem. However, perhaps you have different user security settings from me? Are you an administrator on your machine or are you logged in with different user rights?

Hi Russel,

Again you're so right.Has to do indead with vista security.I tried to runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnninistrator, changed path and closed the program.Restarted to see if it sticked and surprise it gig.But then I got other prob.Couldn't close the prog as by the task manager.Hmmm? Then I right clicked on the exe, selected properties and checked the run as administrator to do so all the time and now as far as I tested now all is ok.Other solution was to rub it under XP compatibillity but that took forever to run and close.

Hi Russel,

Yes , decompiling works ok now but the compiling fails a lot.I tried some airports {just decompile and no changes made} and then tried to compile to bgl. With a lot of airports I get a longgggggggg list of errorrs resulting in failing to compile.Airports that failed fro instance are :EKCH,EHAM,EDDM,LOWW,EGLL.One that did work: EBOS.
But ok we're slowly getting there.
Now if only my other big prob could get soved?

There were some decompiling bugs which have been found. They caused errors associated with Jetways, certain scenery objects, approach legs and runway taxiways. I have fixed these and uploaded the fixed version. If you haven't already, then I'd suggest downloading this new version. It may be the cause of all those errors you are getting. www.zbluesoftware.com/fsxplanner/fsxplanner.zip
