• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Duplicate taxisigns? Not ADE9 duplicate shows?

What the heck is going on?

I checked my scenery folder there is no duplicate files from ADE9.

I checked ADE9 only one file and saved.

I ran the FS2004 it shows duplicate taxi signs. I already DELETED the old ones. I created new taxi sign. Now it shows up duplicate taxisigns in FS2004. ADE9 doesn't show up duplicate taxisigns there. It doesn't make a sense.

What did I miss or wrong with this?

Screenshots:

ADE9 layout just one taxi signs already saved.

Please explain to me how do I fix this?

Thanks,

Stuart

I tried and tried. I already deleted the taxisign and save the file.

I press ctrl + s saved airport then ctrl + c complied airport.

It DOES NOT work!

What is wrong with the file or scenery or taxisign?

Stuart

OK, I got figured it out. I excluded the all taxi signs. I deleted the old ones. It worked now. It is very strange programmed.

Thanks,

Stuart

This is often caused by reloading the BGL file into ADE, rather than the saved ADE2 file...

If you reloading you'll lose where I edit buildings, jetways, etc. I don't want to start all over again lost my hours to work on that.

?

He Said that you should work with the ADE File , not with the BGL.

This means that you only load the BGL(stock) 1 time and from that you work with the saved ADE project file.
Did you do that?

I wasn't too sure. I remembered the last time saved. I forgot to load data taxiway signs, app mode and navaids.. I loaded it again taxi signs and etc.. I edited the taxiways then it happened it doesn't work. Why was that? It shouldn't be happen.

Stuart

I dont know how you "forgot" to load data, because you can only disable the display of data not the loading.

Again the question is:
Did you use the *.ad2 file to work on you airport or did you allways load the BGL? The normal way should be: 1. you load via "Open Stock Airport" or "Open Airport from BGL" 2. after that you allways load the airport via the .ad2!

What you now can do to fix that problem.. hm hard to say.. maybe the problem is that now the taxiway signs from the stock AND your airport gone be loaded. So just place a exclusion rectangle over your airport (work with the .ad2 ;) ), so in the area of the boundary fence.

Is better work with ad2 file, and if you work with exclude or flatten, is essential to keep your work and no lose the things done before.

I would go further. It is essential to work with the ad2 file :)

No, it is possible, but as i mentioned before you should only load the BGL on first start of the project. After loading it save it as ad2 and from that point, only work with the ad2.

LittleMax is correct.

For the avoidance of doubt. you can start a project from any source - stock, Bgl or Xml. You can import data from a Bgl or Xml file to add in stuff from other sources. You should also import Stock Data if you did not start from a stock airport.

However once you have set up the project with all this then save it and after that only open the project from the .ade2. Never go back and open the airport you compile from the project or start importing the data you did at the start. If you do then bad things happen.
