• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi,

quite bad news!

After recovery of PC all data of my EDHI project are lost!
Tried to recover this files with a Programm which i bought for 70 Euro EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard... i found them again and have recovered them but as it looks, they are unusable/toasted anymore .... I tried nearly all files … without success.
Do not buy --> EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard --> this is lost money!

So i really recommend to make a back up from your files on an external device .. i know everybody does expect of me...

Yes, to loose data is every now and then a sad thing... though it's not that sad, that you've lost those from this development, since there is allready quiet a good rendering of this Airport, developed by Aerosoft.
So for everyone who needs this Airport in FSX / P3D has the opportunity to get the one from Aerosoft.

As allways, in FSX / P3D there are still some gaps for new Airports where some good rendered Sceneries are missing. So you may consider to do another airport / Scenery or even a Plane which has not been developed since?
What are your thoughts? I personnaly think to have more choices from more developers is allways a good thing, but in modern Times like allmost 2019 there is not a need to have more than two or three choices of one and the same scenery or Airport.

One developed Scenery / Airport / Plane is mostly enough. So you may consider doing something else...

On the one hand, that's true - there is another Finkenwerder scenery. On the other hand, I understand if user want to build their own version just because of own impressions, memories or some relations by visits or something. Even if Aerosoft would build a fine RAF Brüggen (they wouldn't), I would always try to build my own. Same with Weeze, formerly RAF Laarbruch Air Base - they did, but there is a lot to change if you are an interested military simmer.
Anyway, I promote to buy the Aerosoft version as well, even more because a big part of the price goes to a hospice for kids. I would like to link here:

https://www.aerosoft.com/en/flight-...r-x-steam/sceneries/2276/hamburg-finkenwerder

Please read the first lines of the Product Information which explain the charity intention very well.

I support Airbasil's idea to maybe design another interesting airport. Regarding the screenshots I think your skills are really good to start another ambitious project!

Sorry to hear this... I guess we have all been there at some point. I will proceed to check my own backup.... And regards to the choice of project... I agree fully with Manfred - We all see different détails and have different ambitions when we model, so even though it from a user point of view is nice to have many different airports, I strongly believe that anyone should do the project they feel like doing.

Thank you for the comments. :)

Yes i gives already EDHI as scenery (see above link from manschy) and this is also a nice one.
This was my first project and i loved it really and this will maybe the reason to restart again, but you are also right it gives a lot of other airports which are not designed and … hm .. have to think about when Christmas off work days are coming. :)

What you never loose is the experience and this is what i say, time is not totally lost, you just need to find an project to go ahead...

All the best!
