• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Editing Inf. File

Hi Guys

How can I edit the .Inf file's NullValue= from the default 255,255,255
to 8,183,205 after compiling the Satelite Image.
Now I have to edit the file everytime before resampling... and it is annoying.

I'm not sure I understand the question.

You can edit the inf file and save it .. then use that inf to run resample.

(By definition, you cannot re-resample a compiled file, you need to use your source files .... was that what you were asking?)

.inf file

Thats what I do now.
I would like not to have to edit the nullvalue everytime before resampling.
To have the inf file (default) with the NullValue=8,183,205

I think I understand now:

You would like Sbuilder to create a different default NullValue entry to the RGB White one it currently does.

This I think would have to be answered by Luis. The ini file has other parameters, but not that one, so I don't know if it is customisable.

I work with single larger files, and hence don't have to replace the "inf" very often.

Incidentally EditPad Lite from JG software is a text editor, which remembers the last (10) Search/Replace options ... and hence can repeat them very quickly on a new file.

A simple VB program might be able to alter the text in a group of files pretty quickly also.
