• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

SDK Editor's objects missing in scenery [Solved]

Hi,

Are all the objects available in the editor supposed to display once the scenery is compiled and placed in the community?

I created a very simple scenery with the following objects: Microsoft_Vehicles_Truck_Fire_Short_02, MilitaryTruck7tons_Bache_camo, and OCE_POI_Davis_Emergency_Helipad, each in multiple instances.

Nothing displays once the scenery is compiled...

I need some hints, please! Thanks!

* This is the first time I've created a scenery in FS24 using FS24 objects. Until now, I created my sceneries in FS20 and imported/adapted them for FS24.

EDIT. I tested a scenery created with the FS20 SDK. This scenery includes third-party objects (objects within the scenery and from libraries) in Quebec and objects in Grand Canyon Village. The objects appear correctly in Quebec but not in Grand Canyon. Yet they are in the same scenery! I've created over 150 sceneries comprising nearly 2000 objects using the FS20 SDK, and all of them work well in FS24, except for the last one...

EDIT2. Another test. With FS20 SDK I placed the same object in Quebec and at the Grand Canyon. Once the scenery was compiled, it appeared in Quebec but not at the Grand Canyon in FS24.

EDIT3. Final test. Using the FS20 SDK, I duplicated my objects to KLAS Las Vegas. In the resulting scenery, they display correctly in KLAS but not in the Grand Canyon. I conclude that there is something in the default Grand Canyon Village scenery that prevents third-party objects from displaying.

EDIT4. By rearranging the order of the sceneries with the editor, my objects appeared!
