Hello everyone.
I'm currently trying to model a Lycoming O-360-A4K engine, but I'm having some problems regarding engine performance degradation at altitude.
Essentially, the engine is producing more power than it should at around 10.000 feet and above, thus making the aircraft fly faster than it should. Any ideas on what values to change/tune? The performance values for other altitudes/flight regimes seem to be accurate to the specifications, but at high altitudes, the top speed remains the same.
Some tests indicate that the engine starts to lose performance at 14k feet, but I'd like to lower that value. I'm using the stock C172 engine file as base, except with some modified propeller values, so the engine values remain stock. The "critical_altitude" parameter seems to do nothing, as the engine is naturally aspirated.
Thanks in advance.
