• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Flytampa Dubai Airport

Hi

I know that a new DXB airport is being developed by someone on this form, but I would imagine it would probaly take years to do, so till then I will make do with my Flytampa Version.

I want to know how to edit the Gate Number in T3 Dubai Airport, in real life it has the numbers displayed on top with a yellow background, just not sure how to do that in FS.

Also looking on how to make the Terminal Screen Light sky blue colour and maybe put something like "Dubai Group" on the Terminal 3 Air Bridge.

Thanks

Hi,

For small additions you could probably make a small model of what you want and then position it within the scenery. You can use any 3D modelling tool for that (GMax, FSDS, SketchUp).

If you want to change things in the scenery it is harder. You can't change existing scenery, so you would have to exclude what you don't need and replace it with something new. But for small things like numbering, that would probably require you to redo the entire building.

Thanks,

It really is quite difficult to do, I think hopefully Flytampa have indicated that they may do a new version/

I was really hoping that a project called Dubai 2010 would have been done, as the Developer said he was very confident he will finish it by Summer 2010.
