I appreciate many have moved on to bigger and better concerns (FSX etc.), but I am intent on finding out how to modify the fs2002 scenedb/atc bgl files so as to redefine atc "center" boundaries and/or frequencies. Could anyone point me in the right direction?
I have tried using afcad, but the option of assigning "center" frequencies to specific airports has no effect, probably due to fs not looking at these (AFD?) files for center information. It also seems that the bgl analyzers I have tried are for visual scenery development, and do not understand other types of bgl. Are there some more versatile analyzers for fs2002 bgl files?
I understand that this is an ongoing problem for more recent fs versions, but surely someone somewhere has the relevant knowledge with respect to fs2002?
Oh, one other thing: Some approach frequencies have a twenty nm range, and others a thirty nm range. How do I edit these parameters, and how do I activate a new departure frequency channel at an airport whose default state did not include such a channel?
I eagerly await any info on this subject. I must add that I am by no means experienced, so if you have the patience to be concise about anything highly technical, avoiding obscure jargon where possible, I will be particularly grateful. Many thanks...
